Lighting Associates work with homeowners, builders, electricians, and retail customers to select appropriate lighting packages (including lighting fixtures, ceiling fans, smart switches, hardware, etc.) for their projects. These may include custom homes, speculative homes, remodels, and commercial. It is the responsibility of the Lighting Associate to seek out, foster, and manage account relationships. They must also work cohesively with other members of Texas Bright Ideas’ staff to maintain strong client relationships and a productive work environment; always operating within our core values.
Primary Responsibilities
- Educate customers on the best product solutions for their particular needs
- Coordinate with assigned accounts/retail customers to order products and schedule deliveries/pick-ups
- Meet with homeowners/contractors to select lighting packages based on needs, style, and budget, using floor plans and electrical layouts
- Utilize software to check inventory, create housepacks, take payments, and process returns
- Support and aid in the success of each member of our team
- Maintain strong relationships with assigned accounts by keeping them informed about new products, industry advances, and design trends
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand client base
- Provide the highest level of professional service via in-person, on the phone, and email communication
Additional Responsibilities
- Greet and assist retail customers who visit the showroom
- Participate in Product Knowledge trainings with manufacturer representatives to learn about new and upcoming product advancement
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the showroom, workspaces, and common areas
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing invoice or creating sales tags
- Collaborate with fellow co-workers on special tasks and projects
- Complete any additional tasks as assigned
